School Pavvy, Sightscreen and Stephenson Screen Circa 1976

Now long demolished, the pavillion was erected as a Memorial to the pupils who died in the World Wars. Who else can recall not being able to climb the huge steps in their First Form years and by the Fourth Form were able to jump 2 with one bound ?

Macbeth 1964

Martin Jones writes "The photos are from 1963-64 and Ken Hobbs put a copy of the programme on the website in December 2008. Having failed 'O' level English Lit rather badly about that time, I am probably not the best person to suggest who was who in the photos. John Lynch was the King, perhaps the guy with the crown, Keith White was Macbeth, and Chris Shrimpton was Lady Macbeth. The witches were Sinden (a late replacement for Phil Hodgson), Giles Easterbrook and William Bridge, whilst Ken Hobbs himself was Ross, a Scottish nobleman. Some or all of them may feature in the photos. Good luck with putting names to faces!"
