More cricket- writes Martin Jones

"Continuing the cricketing theme, Martin Jones (1960-68) and Bruce Middlemiss (-1962) pose for the camera in freshly laundered whites in 1970. Both played for many years for the St Andrew's Coulsdon Cricket Club, based at Higher Drive, Purley, a club to which a number of young and not-so-young Purleians belonged, including Mike Bett (of later basketball fame), Phil Morris, Stephen Kelly and the Hall brothers, John & Keith. From 'The Bourne' of 1961-62, it was evident that Bruce enjoyed his amateur dramatics as much as his cricket, and his performance as the Judge in the play 'One Way Pendulum' drew much praise from no less a person than R P Maynard of the School VI."
