Here is a snippet from the Nick Sorensen Facebook group. You can join his group at

"Nick Sorensen (alto and soprano saxophone) is an accomplished jazz musician who is active as a concert performer and workshop leader. His unique sound is characterised by a lyrical approach that combines the meditative quality of long fluid lines, with the raw earthiness of the blues. On alto obvious influences are Johnny Hodges, Charlie Parker, Art Pepper and Lee Konitz. On soprano his favourites include Lol Coxhill, Wayne Shorter, Joe Farrell and Steve Lacy."
