Summer Cricket 1976

A picture taken from the pavilion in the summer of 1976, just before I left the school.  I believe this was the final of the small-sided cricket matches that took place at the end of the summer term.  Mr Lunn (English) can be seen in the middleground, but there is no evidence of a pool in front of the gym or sports hall!

Mr. Girling has indeed found a splendid shot of the correct bus...which, though he may deny it, is pretty anoraky. Indeed such determination is almost definitive.
'Cholmondely' was indeed such a vehicle.
But it seems every one has forgotten how to spell this ancient old name.( It is pronounced  'Chumley', by the way.)   The school bus was in a green and cream where did I leave my anorak, ..I mean coat!

( Never allowed near the thing lest I get my spanners out. I was always very good at dismantling things to see how they worked, only they didn't always, after I re-assembled them)
