Nigel Bowles RIP 1954-2016

So sorry to have to bring the news that Nigel Bowles has died aged 61.

Nigel was in Croydon University Hospital - he had been visited by many of his Purley mates over the past weeks but got an infection on Saturday and despite the efforts of the doctors and a crash team they were unable to save him.

Many of us have very fond memories of him - he was the funniest man I ever knew.

Funeral details will be passed on when known.

Sorry to hear of Nigel's passing. I remember him from Purley in the mid-1960's. Lived in Southwood Avenue in Coulsdon if my recollections are correct.

So sad to hear this. Great friend of mine from 1C and onwards. Lived in Howerd Road when I knew him. Great holiday in Cornwall with him and Mick Ward before I left to live in the West Country. I'll play Marrakesh Express and remember him.
