The University of London GCE 'O' level exam timetable for 1965 and 1967 - from Martin Everett via Martin Jones.

The University of London GCE 'O' level exam timetable for 1965 and 1967. Interesting the variety of subjects available, including Classical Arabic, Trigonometry, and Needlework theory and practical. I wonder whether any of these can still be taken now?

English 4th year set 2 results in 1965 -

English 4th year set 2 results in 1965, but where are they now 52 years later, and did the English exam results have any bearing on future careers? I am fairly sure I saw Andy Webb on TV as a political reporter a good few years ago, so he was presumably happy to have secured 69 out of 100 in this particular exam.

3rd Year Music exam in 1964 - Martin Everett's archive via Martin Jones.

3rd Year Music exam in 1964, presumably written out by hand by Paddy Collins. I think I might do quite well at this paper 53 years later although I might also need more than an hour to do it. Ian Curror and David Brookshaw would have done well!

Badminton team late 1970's

Richard Lucas names the faces as " Anthony Lover, Rod Bird and Paul Crocker. The right hand three. I think! Bumped into Paul a few years ago in Wimbledon, nice bloke. Rod is in Oz as I understand."

From Martin Everett's archives

Internal examination timetable for July 1965. Not sure who did Physical Anatomy & Hygiene or Zoology, presumably somebody did! Shades of dissection in the Biology lab with George Winter. Note the number of 3 hour papers, we were obviously gluttons for punishment in those days! And a half term holiday for some on 5th July, well really...

Badminton Team 1965 ?

Not sure about these guys - Alan Girling says " Precious few ideas I'm afraid. I don't recall there being a badminton team , though obviously there was. Second from left, front row looks a bit like Phil Jack though I don't remember Phil doing anything as subtle as badminton. Between him and the guy without a racquet (presumably holding his shuttlecock) is Brian Watters. Teacher - maybe Brian Newlands?

Ed's note - 3rd from right front row is Keir Carroll ?
