A gem from Graham Tong.

Talk about a hoarder ?! - see what Graham Tong has kept.  It is an old bus ticket for the 59 route (Thornton Heath to the Tudor Rose) which was the forerunner of the 190 route.

The bus number was actually 59B. I attended PCGS from 1946 to 1951, during which time I frequently caought the 59B or the 409 to Purley Fountain. Bill Barker

The 59 was for many years a Sundays only service from the Midday Sun in Chipstead Valley all the way through to West Hampstead. The weekday equivalent was the 166 which ran only as far as Thornton Heath.

Have we got a date for this ticket? Just interested.
